No Sugar Crock Pot Apple Butter


  • 10-12 organic apples, cored, peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup apple cider[no added sugar]
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice
  • ½ tsp. nutmeg
  • ½ tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp. ground cloves


Put everything in the slow cooker and cook on low for 10 hours.

Once apples are dark, immerse hand blender into slow cooker until smooth.

Put lid back on slightly ajar for 2 more hours.

Let cool and store in jars in the fridge.



Spread on toast, hot cereal, pancakes or waffles.

Can also be served with savory dishes such as roast pork and chicken.


Nutrition Facts – Cinnamon
Cinnamon is the dried inner bark of a tree.  It is related to avocado and bay.  Nutritionally, it is helpful for blood sugar stabilization.  It also stimulates the production of digestive enzymes thereby aiding digestion and reducing gas.  In Ayurveda, cinnamon is considered tridoshic.
